Notice sheet for 19th November.

Good evening,

Below is a copy of an article posted on Scholes and Barwick notice board by Deborah Murdoch-Eaton. It has extra details from the item in the notice sheet.

As always, the food bank operating out of St Richard’s Church Seacroft are soooo very grateful for your continued support, and generosity in your donations. We will be open up until 19thDecember and then reopen on 2nd January. We are consistently feeding over 200 people per week. Items in need for our “regular” supplies include tinned fruit, rice pudding or custard, tinned fish and meat items, biscuits, tea bags and coffee. In addition to food, we supply (when we can) basic care items including soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste/ toothbrush. And we are always also in need of dog and cat food for clients much loved companions.

Christmas parcels: we will be giving clients an additional bag of food on either 12th or 19th December, and this will be to enable them to have a special meal. We are likely to need to make up around 120 of these bags to ensure that every family is supported. For these bags we need the following items: tinned fruit, a tin of evaporated milk or custard, some special biscuits / family pack biscuits, cheese biscuits, some cheese, mince pies, and a tin of either ham or chicken. Please could you let us have your donations for these items, if possible, by 5 December to give us time to make up these extra bags.
